"WITHDRAWAT, OF CONCESSIONS URGED. . : By TelcsraDh.— Association. Oamaru, May 21. The Opera House was packed to tho doors to-'iight (x> hear an address by the Rev. Howard Elliott, organiser for tlie Protestant Political Association. Tlio speaker received an enthusiastic hearing, and was frequently cheered by an orderly meeting. The following resolution was carried unanimously: "This meeting of the Protestants of Oamaru expresses its strong adherence to a national system of education and its disapproval of wants in any form to denominational schools; it calls upon the Government to withdraw all concessions and scholarships already made, and so preserve Hie integrity of the national system."
