PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS
Tho appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force have been approved:— Lieutenant-Colonel Walter R. Pearless (D.), M.R.C.S., Eng., N.Z.M.C, is appointed a member of a special district medical board, and is granted the pay of lieutenant-colonel at Expeditionary Force rates whilst so acting. Dated April 10, 1818. Captain Frank L. Atkinson, M.8., N.Z.M.C, is appointed a member of a special district medical. board. Dated April 20, 1918. _ Lieutenant Charles A. B. P. Hawkins is appointed adjutant, C'l Camp, and is granted the temporary rank of captain whilst so employed. Dated April 13, 1918; Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Leonard H. Booth, M.8., N.Z.M.C., is appointed a member of a special district medical board, and retains tho temporary rank of captain whilst so employed. Dated April 30, 1918. Lieutenant Willinm D. Rose, N.Z. Dental Corps, appointed for duty in N.Z,E.F. training camps on May 3, 1916, relinquishes the appointment. Dated April It, 1918. 11th (North Auckland) Mounted Rifles. Captain Frank N. Whitmore, M.C., is struck off tho strength of the N.Z.E.F., with effect from May 22, 1918, ,and is absorbed into the regiment with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., lieutenant, as from April 16, 1018. Corps of New Zealand Engineers. New Zealand Eailway Battalions (North Island). The undermentioned 2nd lieutenants fo be lieutenants. Dated February S, 1918: —Charles H. Nelson, Reginald P.. Gow (under tho provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913), William K. Setter (under tho provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913), Archibald Wallace, Cnarlcs G. Dunham, Murdoch Macaskill 16th (Waikato) Regiment. Lieutenant Ronald B. Morton is struck oft* the strength of the N.Z.E.F., with effect from May 27, 1918, and is absorbed into the regimont with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., lieutenant, as from September 6, 1916. N.Z. Riflo Brigade (Earl of Liverpool's Own), Territorial. Lieutenant Robert W. Turner is struck off the strength of tho N.Z.E.F., with offect from Juno 1, 1918, and is absorbed into the regiment with hi 3 original rank and seniority therein—viz., 2nd lieutenant, as from April 29, 1910. Pearlcss (D.), M.R.C.S., Eng., Is struck off -tho strength of the N.Z.E.P., with effect from April 17, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., liontenant-colonei, as from Seotembcr 1, vm. Captain George Redpath, M.8., is struck off tho strength of the N.Z.E.F., with effect from April 11, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority- viz., captain (temp.), as from August 4, 1917. Captain Gavin W. Hill, L.R.C.P., Edin., is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F.,"with effect from April 30, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., captain, as from February 5, 1915. Captain John Miller, L.R.C.S., Edm., is struck off the strength of the N.Z.K.F., with effect from March 27, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., captain (temp.), as from April 11, 1917.
