Tho Otago Education Board had passed a motion that it is of opinion that tho members of the teaching profession suffer a serious injustico owing to tho disparity in (ho treatment they rcceivo when on sick lenve compared with other members of the Public Service, and that tho Government be urged to increase tho grant for relieving teachers to such amount as will enable boards to extend as much consideration to teachers on sick- leavo as is given to member's in public service.
