ISLAND BAT CLUB.

Members of tlie Island Bay Bowling Club held a card party at tlie clubs rooms on Wednesday, and opportunity was taken by the junior members-who constitute the bulk of the membors-to show a practical appreciation of tho senior mom bore on coaching them throughout tho season. Gaudin encli with a. measuring-tape and call-pore-suitably inscribed—tho juniors hoped that they would in sow* measure be Tepaid for the time they had devoted in showing tho colts the finer points of the game.
