THE HONEY CROP
The Director of the Horticulture Division of the Department of Agriculture hns received from the apiary instructors the following report concerning the honey crop prospects-.— Auckland.—There is nothing further to report since"last month. Prices reninin unchanged. There is a keen demand for beeswax, for which 2s. per lb. can be obtained, Wellington.—The honey crop prospects for the past year have been realised as anticipated, and again average crops of good quality honey were secured. Last month s prices are still maintained, and are likoly to hold good for the whole of the past crop. Clean beeswax is realising 'Js. per lb. Dnncdin.—Extracting has finished, and the bulk of the honey has been marketed. Prices are firm. Pat honey—none forward. Bulk honey, 9d. to 10d. per lb. Sections are scarce, and are quoted at Vs. Cd. to Bs. Gd. per'dozen. Beeswax is in strong demand. Prices are ruling from Is. Cd. to Is. 9d. per lb.
