Both teams, 'Varsity and 'Wellington Collogo Old Boys, are light and f ast, and able to last out a fast game to the finish. "With a very fine set of forwards to give 'Varsity a lead, their backs should make things merry for tiioir opponents. Athletic meets Poneko on No. 2 ground, and as the latter put up a good performaueo against tlio solid Trenthum fifteen captained by E. Roberts, tbo bluc-aud-blacks will have plenty to do if they wish to place a win to their credit. Orioiital, with a heavier team, meet Petone on the Recreation Ground, and are expected to give a much better account of themselves to-dny. Tho Athletic-Oriental sth class match (referee, Mr. C.
