"Freeman's Journal" that Lord French's appointment moans military dictatorship finds little Acceptance. Lord French is very popular, and tho Government made every attempt to find n civilian successor to Viscount Wimborne.
The "Manchester Guardian" states that the Government intends to go straight ahead with Home Rule and Irish conscription.'
