AUCKLAND TRAMWAYS DISPUTE
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, May 7. The dispute between the Auckland Tramways Company iiml its employees wius further considered by the Labour Disputes Couiiuiltee to-day. Suggestions made by the chairman :'or a ettleinont were co:isid«r?d, with two adjournments, after which the chiunimn (the Hon. Geoi'RO I'owlds) announced that his proposals had sot been acceptable, and tho committee now proposed to report to the Minister of Labour, with alternative proposals as provided by the Act. The Minister on receipt of the proposals, will cause them to be advertised, and after wirds the Registrar of Indnstnal Unions will take a secret ballot of the members of tho union on the queslion whether or not a. strike shall take plnee.
