Tho opening of the winter session was held in the Eastbourne Ilall on Saturday. Tho club lias now secured more commodious rooms, and there is every indication that tho season will bo a successful ono. Tho first part of tho evening was devoted to a progressive euchre tournament;. Tho following are the winners: Mrs. Coard and Mr. Ciinino; booby prizes, Miss Cook and Mr. Guy .Munro. Jn tho second half of tho programme tho following contributed musical items, which wero greatly appreciated by tho large number of members present:—Miss K. Gallichan, Messrs. Guv Munro, W. Bennett, and Master liiiuer. Tho club orchestra also played three delightful pieces, and tho conductor, Mr. Cimino, is to bo congratulated on the manner in which ho has brought his little baud of performers on. Mrs. Meo acted as ac< compauiste.
