FISHERMAN ON THE WRONG E"OLL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, May G. A First Division reservist, John Charles Ormo, was charged at tho Police Court to-day with failing to enrol. Tho poljco stated that tho accused, with a married woman who was separated from her husband and had two children, had lived on a fishing boat in tho harbour for two years. They lived on tho woman's maintenance money, supplemented by tlio proceeds of tho fishing:. The accused was dodging military service, and avoided coming into tho city, tho woman doing any necessary business. Ormo was on the roll as a Second Division reservist, Class D, his address being Waihcko Island, in the gulf. The Magistrate said had it not been that the need for men was so great the' nccused would havo received a long term of imprisonment. A sentence of six months' imprisonment was imposed, the accused to oo handed over to tho military authorities at tho expiration.of tho term. _^___
