FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications aro for a continuance of .cold, changeable conditions, with passing showers in most partß of tho country. Expect south to south-oast ■winds, moderate to strong, and squally | at times, and a rising barometer everywhere soon. A westerly low-pressure area of moderate intensity, which passed in tho south on Sunday, has been responsible for cold and changeable weather generally and scattered rainfall.
