MAY DAY IN FRANCE
SOCIALISTS FOREGO THEIR DEMONSTRATION. Paris, April 30. The French Socialist Party has issued a manifesto stating that it has been decided not to hold demonstrations on May Day. It says: "German Imperialism is seeking to secure a crushing'victory in the West similar to that won in the East. Therefore the primary duty vf all c'tizens is. to defend the country."—Aus.N.Z.
