WORKERS' EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION
MONTHLY MEETING. Professor T. A. Hunter presided at the monthly meeting of tho Workers' Educational Association, "Wellington Centre. There was a very satisfactory attendance of delegates. Reports from tho branches in AVanganui and Napier were received. An application from Leviu, where a serins i>l , lectures will shortly bo given, was considered. 'Tho Theofiophical fraternity of Wellington applied for affiliation to v.ho association. Grants of ,£IOO each were received from tho Wellington City Council and the Macarthy trustees. This is tho firat grant made by tho latter to tlho association. Donations wero received Im.iii the "Wellington Senraon's "Union and the -Wellington Central Chamber of Commerce (M 25.). Eeports showed that (he, 1.-illmving classes had commenced their studios:— Economics, Saturday; English literature, Monday; economic!!, Wednesday; psychology, Wednesday; women's class (history), AVetlnesday; economics (Petonc), Saturday. Classes in industrial law and electricity are now being arranged. Committees woro set up to deal with tho need for increased financial assistance and tho arrangement of lectures.
