SKETCH EXHIBITION. The visitor to the Art Gallery in Whitmore Street will find much to delight him in the numerous drawings and sketches now on the walls. Notwithstanding the call to arms there is no •apparent lessening of interest in the ap* peal of art. In fact, the war, to.which so many of the younger artists have gone, has served ~as an inspiration to achievement in the production of good sound work. The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to & p.m., and art union tickets, of which a great number have already been'sold, may be procured from the custodiim or members of the council,
