EARTHQUAKE AT LOS ANGELES
(Roc. April 22, 9.55 p.m.) New York, April 21. An earthquake at T.os Angeles caused extensive damage. There were panics at the nielure theatres and on the pier, resulting in some deaths.-.*«s,N.Z. Cable Assn.
. HEAVY DAMAGE CAUSED. (Kec. April 23, 0.30 a.m.) New York, April 22. The earthquake shock caused heavy damage in Southern California, particularly in the towns of Helmet and San Jacinto. The loss of life is believed to havo been small. Some-reports state that -Helmet and San Jacinto have practically been destroyed.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
