COMFORTS FOR SOLDIERS

WHAT IS PERMISSIBLE. The Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs has furnished the Ked Cross with the following information:—'The following ia a list of what it is permissible to lorward as comforts for soldiers in i'ho United Kingdom: Foodstuffs, viz., honey* cheese, fish (except lobster or salmon),, preserved meats, sago, tapioca, rice, cornllour, arrowroot, and cakes, containing sugar, if sent to the New Zealand War Contingent Association for distribution among military hospitals."
