LABOUR BODIES I'BOTEST AGAINST THE CLAUSE. By Telesraph-Pras Association. Auckland, April 15. A meeting attended by representatives of forty-three- industrial unions Ihie morning carried a resolution demanding the withdrawal of the clause in the Finance Bill providing for industrial conscription, and stating that Labour had carried its share of'the war burden unflinchirgly, and , tiould oppose by every means in its power any attempt to further enrich private employers at tho ixpenso of the wage-earners.
Dunedin, April 16. . The secretary of tho Otago Labour Council 'has telegraphed to Mr. Jlussey emphatically objecting to the dausp in the Finance Bill relating to industrial conscription, and demanding its withdrawal.
