ATHLETICS
An evening sports meeting of the Victoria University College Amateur Athletic Club' was bold on Kelburn Park on Saturday between r> and G p.m., and was very well attended by numbers of stu'donU and their friends. Three events were decided, namely, 100 yards handicap, 140 yards handicap, and one milfl handicap, but tho competitors were considerably hampered by tbe sodden condition of the ground, which made tho running very heavy. Tho results werq a.s follow:— 100 yards handicap—First heat: Jonkins, scr., 1; Jackson, 1 yard,' 1 Time, 10 Msec. Second heat; Lttek, scr., 1; Adams, 5 ywrds, 2. Time, 11 l-ssoc. Final: Jackson, 1 yard, 1; Lusk, «:r., 2. Time, Usee. Ono mile handicap—Wilkic, 80 yards, I; Flitter, 80 yards, 2. Time. smin. 21sec. 4(0 yards handicap—Aitken, scr., 1; Barker, eer., 2.
