DEATH OF JOHN PAASKE. INQUEST AND VERDICT. The adjourned inquest concerning thei death of John Patiske, who was found 1 , dead in his home at Wadestown on April. 3, was concluded ou Saturday. Several witnesses gave evidence of Having seen. Paaske oa April 2; he then complained, of not feeling well, he was wheezing, and at times could scarcely get his breath. At the previous inquiry evidence was given that decomposition had. developed rather rapidly, and must have been duo to the gas being turned on,, or to a cut or wound on the body which; would have accelerated decomposition. Dr. Fyll'e said that he had Heard thei evidence", but" there were still two things, that he could not understand. tain amount of heart disease in the aortic valves, but if he died of heart disease alone then -the post-mortem signs too abnormal. He was inclined to • think, in the absonce~6f death from violence, that the man probably died of acute septicaemia. A verdict in accordance with the medical evidence was returned. PEA-RIFLE FATALITY. By Telesrauli—Press Association. Dunedin, April 4. Information has been received by the police that a seafaring mau named Joiiann Henderson, twenty-nine years of age, and living at Karitane, about thirty miles from Dunedin, shot himself fatal- l ly with a pea-ride last night. - An inquest will be held to-morrow.

A soldier named O'Leary fell from, a tramcar yesterday in Lambton Quay. He was taken to the Hospital, where he was found to be injured about the head.
