AIR RAID ON ENGLAND

•EASTERN AND MIDLAND DISTRICTS ATTACKED DAMAGE INCONSIDERABLE (Rec. April 14, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 111, 2 a.m. Tho Press Bureau reports: "Hostile airships crossed the east coast last evening and attacked certain of the eastern and midland districts. One or two of the raiders penetrated further inland, where some bombs ware dropped. .The raid is progressing."—Aus.-N.Z, Cablo Assn.-Router.

London, April 13. Tlio Tress Bureau states that four airships participated in last night's raid. Two penetrated a few miles inland, another roached the Midlands, and a fourth nearly icaohed the north-west coast. The raiders travelled at a great height. No 0,1 tempt was made to penetrate defended areas. Most of the bombs were dropped in open country. Four houses were ilemolished in one place; othorwi.se the damage was inconsiderable.—Aus.-N.Z.
