LEAVE FOR MR. WEBB
MR. PAYNE TO MOVE. Just before the House rose om Saturday night Mr.'Payne asked to be allowed to move for leave of absence for Mr. Webb, member for Grey. Sir. Mussey: Notice will have to be given.
Mr. Speaker said that motions for leave of absence could be moved only when those motions were asked for. The opportunity to move as the honourable member wished would occur at the next meeting of the House. v It should be explained that motions for leavo of absence aro usually moved without notice, but when a motion is for leave for the session it is common to give notice. For instance,''this session Mr. Wilkinson asked leave for the session for the lion. R. 11. Rhodes, who is in England as Red, Cross Commissioner, and Mr. Wilkinson gave notice of the motion. If Mr. Payne gives notice on Monday and 'the House rises that day the opportunity to move the resolution will not occur.
