LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report that they held their autumn cattle sals at Pahiatua on Tuesday. Thero was a large yarding, but tlie duality fell short of the usual standard. The sale lacked animation throughout, grown bullocks, being almost entirely neglected, and a considerable portion of the entry went out unsold. Fat and forward cows and qalves sold well. They quote:—Two and a' half-year steers, £12 to £13 35.; bullocks, to £14 2s. 6d.; ono and a half-year steers, £6 13s. to £10: one and a half-year heifers, to £8; light fat cows, to £10 2s. 6d.: forward cows, to £9 55.; store cows, to £7 10s.; m.s. weanera, to' £4 65.; weaner 6teers, to £5 l(Js.
