RED JERSEY MATINEE
To-morrow afternoon Lat the Grand Opera House J. C. Williamson's Itoyal Comic Upera Company will present a completo of "Mr. Manhattan," the proceeds of which will be devoted to the lied Jersey Fund. The J. C. Williamson, Ltd., management will pay all the advertising and qtlier expenses themselves, and in addition they will donate two £b war bonds, which will he raffled for tioket-holders during the interval. During their campaign through Wellington yesterday the lady members of J. 0. Williamson's found that (lie easiest victims were the commercial travellers, who purchased tickets freely for the matinee performance to-morrow afternoon. During the thirty -years since, it, was first organised the Hoyal Comic Opera Co. has been responsible for the collection of many thousands of pounds for various funds throughout Australia and j\'ew Zealand, but' probably never have its members assisted in a better cause than the J!ed Jersey Fund; The money which they hand over to the Salvation Army is to be devoted to providing comforts for- our .soldiers on the battlefields. Tickets may bo purchased at the Bristol Piano Co., Perry's, tobacconist, Manners Street, Grand Opera House Confectionery, and other depots in the town.
