MEETING OP OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION. ' The annual general meeting of the* Wellington ' College Old Boys' Associa- • Hon was held last night. The president,. Mr. M. C. Barnett, presided over a good: attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the 281 h annual report and balance-sheet, a precis of which has already appeared in Tun Dominion", the president touched on the proposed war memorial to eld 003-6. The association had aimed at' a pretty big: undertaking, but he thought it would, eventually be able to carry it through, to a successful issue. No finer tribute, could be paid to the sacrifice made by those who had fallen than some lastingmemorial which all coidd look back upon with pride. The erection of a. memorial hall would provide this. On. account of the war tho association had perforce confined its activities to practically this one channel. The flag had bceu kept flying, though.-and that was the main thing. The report was adopted after a brief discussion. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. M. C. Barnett; hon. secretary, Mr. P.. W. Cook; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. Desborough; hon. auditor, Mr. W. IT. Morrali; committee, Dr. J. S.. Elliott, Messrs. W. C. Bethune, W. 11.. Deuton, l<\ M. TJenner, S. Coleman, and len. M'Kouzie; wnr memorial committee, Messrs. M. Myers and A. E. Meek. The usual grants were made, comprising £5 ss. to the college grounds, .£2 2s. for a shooting trophy, and £2 2s. for the old boys' prize. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Bethune for the uso -of his office throughout the year.
