Tho manager of th©_ Murray Creek Gold Miniilg Company, limited, reports lor tho mouth of March as follows:—No. 3 Level: Tho Phoenix crosscut lia3 been extended a lurtlier 5 feet, making a total distance of 58 feet. At this point reef formation, 3 feet in width, was intersected 1 have driven north on this formation for 15 feet. 'Die fade is 4 feet in width, and is carrying gold. Indications .point to the reef becoming solid at any moment. No. 4 Level: A crosscut was started in the main rise ot a point 45 feet above the level into tho hanging-wall, and at ' 20 feet off the rise a reef, 4 feet wido and showing good values, was met with. A crosscut was also put in off No. 2 rise, about 160 feet further south, and 10 feet olf tho .rise a reef, showing 3 feet of payable Btone, was i'lso cut through. The two crosscuts have rrolsably intersected the same reef, hut it is 100 soon yet to say whether it is rur main reef or-a parallel ore body. • During the month tho battery crushed EOS tons of ore for a return valued approximately at £1688.
