At a meeting of the Maoriland Irish Society ' the following resolution was carried:—"That we, the Irishmen of ■Wellington, most emphatically protest against the uncalled for and misinformed action of the Minister of Finance in an insult published in bis' War Loan map to the people of our race.. We publicly deny the accuracy of hia statement, and hereby challenge him to defend the same on any public platform in Wellington. Failing this, we demand of him to withdraw the insinuation." Mr. W.
