NOMADS Y. BOYS" INSTITUTE. On Saturday Nomads, the winners of tho third grade competition in Ohrietchurch, met the Boys' Institute Old Boys, who aro -winnere of the local third grade championship. Nomads batted first, and compiled 128 rune. Newsome (44) -was top scorer, other double-figure scorers being 0. Dobbs (14) and'G. Cmnrain3 (13). Boya' Institute replied with-195. G. Watts took four -wickets for 60 runs, and P. O'Callaghan three for 48. Boya' Institute are thus leading by 67 runs on tho first innings. The game will bo continued to-day. CHRISTOHURCH Y. WELLINGTON. On Saturday tho Ohristchurch representatives under-20 years of ago met the Wellington 16 to 18 years of ago rcpre-, Bcntative team tvhich travelled to Christchurch at Christmas time. Tho Tieitlng team won by 34 runs on the first innings, tho scores being :-Christclmrch, 146 (Saiindors 44, Shaw 31. Grose 21, Westwood 20); Wellington, 112 (J. Shanahan 21. G. Bolt 29, Los. Smith 20). Bowling for Christchurch, Woodficld took six wickets for 44 mis, and Grose two for 25.
