EASTER EGGS
LARGE SALE RECORDED. Throughout Saturday the sale of "Easter Egg" tickets Dy the New Zealand Natives' Association was brisk and continuous. i\'o citizen of'either sex was permitted to venture far along the street without being solicited to "buy an egg," and as every shilling so invested means help for the sufferers in the Main Trunk fire, all may conclude that a good object is being achieved in a manner that gives at least a modicum of excitement to all who purchaso an envelope. So far as is known the motor-car ticket has not been purchased, and as it is not every day that one can purchase a £315 car for Is., the demand for tickets is likely to continue very active to-day and to-mor-row. In the mcantimo the ptiblic may redeem the value of their tickets at the Dominion Motor Vehicles, Ltd., in Courtenay Place, but if they represent orders on retail firms they will havo to wait until to-morrow or Wednesday morning.
