THE PRIME MINISTER'S SON,

Cable advico was received on Saturday that Temporary-Major F. Massey, MIC, was lying seriously wounded in Walton-on-Tliames Hospital, suffering from gunshot wounds in the chest. Tip to last evening no further information regarding Major Massey's condition had been received. Major Massoy joined the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in 1915, and left as a second lieutenant with the Rifle Brigade. He was transferred to the Imperial Army and gained^rapid promotion. Ho won the Military Cross at Messines, and sinco then has been second in command of a battalion of Lancashire Fusiliers.
