Stevens, Section 6, Block IX, Hautapu. i'lio following proposals for the expenditure of tliirde were approved iu terms of the ranger's recommendations:—ilastertou County, £39 lbs.; llaugitikei County, £jho 6s. 7d. W. Chapman applied for a lease of Sections 1 and 2, Block IV, l'iriaka Township, 2 roods. It was resolved to grant him a permit to occupy under Section 27 of the Public Reserves Act, 1908, at a rent of £1 10s. per annum, subject to usual conditions. Tho question of ollering tho unsold lots in Piriaka Townehip was considered, and it was resolved to put them up for sale, by public auctiou, those in Block I at upset prices based at about £6 per quarter acre, and'in Block Vat prices of about iu per quarter acre. The questiou of reotloring Sections 118 and 146, Town of Manunui, 2 roods 09 perches each, was considered. It was resolved to reollor iheui tor gash by public auction. Section lia at an upset price of £00, and Section 140 at ±,75, weighted with £I.so'for improvements. 'With regard to application from Railway Department for Sections 54 and 65, Block VI, lluuua S.D., 24 acres 1 rood perches, it was resolved to authorise tho Commissioner to have these sections permanently reserved for the use of the Kailway Department on payment of tho amount which the Railway Department hae agreed to pay. The Commissioner reported that, the preliminaries with regard to providing P.E.R. 15, Block I, Hautapu S.D., area about 394 aores, with road' access and homestead site, were approaching completion. It was resolved to oiler the reserve for lease by public auction for 21 years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of 21 years under tho Education Reserves Acts and the Public Bodies Leases Act, 1908.
