The City Council resolved last evening:—"That the Wellington Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals bo informed that tho council cannot onteitain their request lor the construction of a water trough on the Hut't Road, between Kaiwla'rra and Ngahauranga, approximately sixteen to eighteen feet in length, biit however, they will be prepared to provide a trough about seven feet six inches long to replace the present inadequate drinking trough."
