A BOY'S ESCAPADE. U/;ltt:the -Juvenile-Court'yesterday,"be-fore Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., a lad fifteen years of age was charged- with the theft of two sums of money of 15s. ! ,6d.-and : ':'3s. 6d., on.Maivh 15 and 19 respectively, from 'John S.; Mirnro, dairyman, Ghjiznee, Street. It was shown that on Tuesday last the dairyman's assistant came into the shop unexpectedly and discovered the boy in the' act of rifling the till, and the lad was found with the missing sum of 3s. 6d. in his possession. Later on., •thd ; hoy.admitted stealing• 13s. 6d. on ■the previous Friday. 'Mr. J. Dinneen, probation "officer 'to the^' Education Board, reported; that though-the boy had, given his 'parents trouble, his school record- was.;g'ood; The; Magistrate convicted -, aiid ; - ordered • ihe boyto. come ; up-for sentence when called upon, .'and;to- report once■ a week to the probation-officer'.
