Tho annual meeting of tho Athletic Football Club was held ou Thursday. Mr. )V. S. Ridler presided. Tho-annual report, which was adopted, stated that the finances of tho club wero satisfactory. Most of the players in lust .year's senior team were ugain available. To conserve tho finances of tho club, pending a return of normal conditions, tha gymnasium had been let for storage purposes. Officers wero elected as follow: —President, Mr. G. F. C. Campbell; vicepresidents, Messrs. A. Pritchard, J. P. Murphy. W. H. Hales, E. 0. Hales, H. W. Kelly, J. M. Murphy, W. Fraser, W. S. Ridler, D..G. A. Cooper, It. M. Isaacs, J. M. Thomson, F. C. Atkinson, A. E. Eveuson, G. Robertson, E. Day, I. Hyams, G. A. Troup. A. B. Charters, J. H. Pagni, W. H. Bedell, A. Bognuda; club captain, Mr. W. S. Ridler; secretary, Mr. F. Mills; treasurer, Mr. B. Warwick; management committee, Messrs. L. Wilson, J. Cumiinghamo, J. Robinson, H. Hall, H. Anderson, B. luiapp, W. Mills; delegates to union, Messrs. E. Warwick, W..Mills, J. Robinson; auditors, Messrs. Gaulton and Thomson.
Three new members were elected
SELWYN CLUB.
The annual- meeting of the Selwyu. Football Club was lield last evening, Mr. N. Austin, the president, presiding. There was a. c.ood attendance of members. Tho annual report stated that of the members of tho club who had gone on active service 17 had been killed. in action and six wounded, and the sympathy of the club was tendered the relatives of tho men killed.
■ Last season, oiviug to the restrictions imposed on players by the Rugby Union, tho club was unable to play more than two teams —one each iti the second and fifth grades. senior fifteen were successful in securing the sccond grade championship, losing only two games throughout the season, ihe fifth grade team, which gave excellent promise at the beginning of the season, suffered considerably towards the end through a number of the players being transferred from Wellington, thus breaking up the .combination. l»e trophies won dining the year were as follow:—First fifteen, most improved back, A. Maxwell; most improved forward, A. Flock. Fifth grade, most improved back, C. Christian; and most improved forward, J. Sharp. Improved players, fifth grade, V. Pascoe (back), and P. Whaka (forward). Tho statement of accounts showed a credit balance of £18.175. 3d. It was stated that 145 members of the club had. joined the Expeditionary Force. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, on .the motion of the- chairman. , The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. N. Austin; vicepresidents, Messrs. 11. Card,_ J.
