EASTER LEAVE
, ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE , TROOPS. Some changes haw been inado in the arrangements for the Easter leave ol troops now in camp. These changes, the Minister of Defence stated".last night,'have been brought about owing to the Railway Department notifying the military authorities that it was unable to carry out the original proposals of the Defence Department. In order to avoid congestion in connection with both steamer and. railway transport, and after consultation with the Camp Commandants at Trentham and Feathereton, it has been decided to give final leave to the Thirty-ninth Reinforcements at Easter instead of at 'a later stage of their training. A sma proportion of the Easter leave men will eave camp on Wednesday instead of Friday, and will return ; to camp on Tuesday instead of Monday night. The ieave arrangements may be sum-'mThirty-etghth°-and Thirty-ninth Reinforcements (final leave): Auckland-Wa-nganui-New Plymouth men leave Featherston March 23 and 24; Gis-borne-Napier-Wellington men leave on March 25; South Island men on March 25 and 26, except Nelson men on March 27 and Picton men on March 28. The troops will return to camp on A Sirty-seve'nth Reinforcements (short leave): The men will leave camp-on March 27 and 23 and will return on SrifS. -The southern men w>l leave. Wellington by steamer on Mawh *»• ltd men will leave Wellington by eteamer on March.2B.
