In the Supremo Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Herdinan, in' ro Luthefl Hopkins, solicitor, Mr. Johnston, for the Canterbury Law Society, asked that tho mattor of tho application for a rulo nisi be not proceeded with. After hearing counsel, His Honour said he understood tho Law Society, had thoroughly investigated tho matter and had come to tho conclusion; that there was no dishonesty involved and that it really resolved itself into a contest about tho settlement of accounts between Mr. Hopkins and au< other. Mr. Johnston having said that Uiit was tho case His Honour granted tin request to withdraw tho application.
