Tho Press Bureau reports: "Britain, on behalf of the Allies, is taking over the Egyptian cotton crop from August next, also tho residue of tho present crop."—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.-Reuter. (Rec. March 18, 11.30 p.m.) Cairo, March 17. . The cotton agreement gives _ over double the pre-war prices. Britain will provide a. maximum of £10,000,000 at tho banks jointly, equal to the amount Egypt guarantees in interest. _ Britain will control tho Liverpool prices and sales at all the subsequent industrial stages.—"The Times."
