6 By Teleera;.h-Prcs3 Association. Timarii, Marah 13. The W.C.T.U. auuual conference will open to-morrow, and is to continue all next week. To-night delegates were welcomed at a ..public meeting in the Lyceum Theatre. There was a large attendance, and Mrs. Russell, of Tiniai'ti, the president, occupied the chair. The Mayor, Mr. J. Maling, Rev. >T. Joughin, and Mr. J. Craigie, M.J , ., nave addresses of welcome. Sirs. Don, Dominion president, in acknowledging tho welcome, said the 'U'.O.T.U. was out to sweep the liquor interests away, altogether. Tho present restrictions were insufficient. They were out also for equal rights with men. Mr. Craigie, in his remarks in support, quoted the examples of the United States and Canada.
