A capital programme was submitted, and heartily enjoyed by the fairly large audience present. Tho' programme last evening included contributions by Mr. .T. 0. Bain, the comic singer, and his gifted daughter, Miss Verna, Bain, who hat already established herself as a firm favourite in Wellington. Miss Amy Murphy and Mr. Philip Newbury sa.ng popular numbers, and the Walter Johnson Eeyue Company, offered a full measure of frivolity in the' giddy ronie, "The Gramophone Girls. KING'S THEATRE. The climax of "J[y Official Wife," the Vitnuraph mastorpicce now screening at tho King's Theatre, is particularly powerful. Clara Kimball Younjr rises to a great height of emotional power in this picture. In addition is shown the fifth episode of "The Neglected Wife," also a very fine film of tho gala day sports held at Island Bay. EMPEE3S THEATEE. "The Dormant. Power" is the. feature now being screened at the Empress Theotre. The role of tho Tinscru.pulous'.finanoier is vividly portrayed by Montague Love. Ethel Clayton is the heroine. In addition is shown a film ..of the sports at Island Bay, al=o a series of Tathes special war pictures. • EVERYBODY'S" THEATRE. Heading the bill at Everybody's Theatre this week is a five-reel Triangle dr.ania, entitled "Golden Eule Kate." Golden Eule v Kate is the proprietress ot the Eed Light Dance Hall, and she maintains order and juetice by the aid of a Bpeedy revolver. How a parson enters into lW life is told in a very interesting fashion. J"n addition to this feature is shown a very fine picture of the gala day .sports held at Island Bay on Saturday. ■
