CAUSES REFMMING OF PEACE TERMS

HOW THE ALLIES WOULD BE

BLED IF —-

Amsterdam, March 11.

The successes in Russia and Rumania have led many German publicists to reframe the peace terms. Professor Haaso outlines tho terms as follows:— Italy, as a punishment for her troachcry, must sorvo the Ceutral Powers economically for a number of yoars; cede tho territory to tho Tagliamento; restore Tripoli to tho Turks; and give Somaliland to Germany. France must pay £2,000,000,000 indemnity ; cedo Verdun, Belfort, ■ Lohgwy, Briey, the French slopes of the Vosges, the Western portion of Morocco, parts of tho French Congo, and Somaliland. Prince Loewcnstein urges the. necessity of Germany demanding raw, materials as an indemnity. Canada must supply copper, cohalt, and leather ; Australia, spelter, wool, grain, and frozen, meat, and other colonics oils, rubber, rice, and tea. South Africa is to supply gold; Franco is to givo olive oil; Italy vegetables, sillc, and hemp; Russia wheat, lias, and platinum. „ , "Only in this way," ho says, ' can the war bo made a source of blessing, and savo the Germans from crushing taxation and mass emigration. Her destiny compels theso steps. If Germany neglects the opportunity, oter-, nity will never . give her another chance."—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
