FURTHER ADVANCE IN PALESTINE GAIN OF TWO TO THREE MILES (Rec. March 12, 7.15 p.m.) London, March 11. A Palestine official report states: "Tlio advance northward is continued. Yesterday morning we crossed the AVadi Auja and captured a strong Turkish position five miles westward of the Jordan. We advanced on either side of the Jerusalem-Nablus road on a front of thirteen miles to an average depth of two to three miles. We occupied Kefrmalik, Selwad, and Telasur, eastward of the road. AVo encountered little opposition westward of the road." -Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter. ADVANCING THROUGH DIFFICULT COUNTRY | COUNTER-ATTACKS REPULSED. (Rec. March 12, 8 p.m.) London, March 12. A Palestine official report _ states: "The northward advance astride the Jerusalem-Nablus road has been, continued through the most difficult country and in face of obstinate resistance, the enemy employing numerous concealed machine-guns. We progressed three thousand. yards on a twelve-miles front, securing high ridges overlooking the north bank of AA'adi el Jib, repulsing three counter-attacks and consolidating the new line to the northward of Wadi Auja.
