ST. PATRICK'S DAY
An enjoyable evening at tho Town Hall is promised on Monday, March 18, when the national songs of Ireland will he the attraction. Mr. Fred G. Rourke, the Auckland baritone; Mr. Martin Duff, the Dunedin tonor; Mr. C. Zicsler, the Timaru baritone; and Miss Kathleen Wood, tho Wanagmii soprano, will contribute, and they, will bo assisted by leading talent of Wellington. The box plan opens at tho Bristol Piano Company on Wednesday morning. Tlie sports will be held at the Newtown Park next Saturday, where over one thousand school children will take part in a spectacular Swedish drill display with flags. Dancing compotitions, baby shows, and side-shows will also help to make the Park an attraction for the general half-holiday on Saturday-afternoon. The usual procession will take place in the morning, and will bo one of the features of the day. ' On Sunday, March 17, the members of the Hibernian Society will hold their general Communion at St. Mary's, Boulcott Street, at 8 o'clock Mass. After the Mass the usual annual breakfast will be held at Gamble and Creed's refreshment rooms, Willis Street.
