MAKURI RED CROSS GUILD
A general meeting was held on March 6. The interest during the year has been very satisfactory for such a Email district. Tho work lias all been sent to the Wellington Red Cross Centres, also parcels of comforts have been sent to several Makuri men. Subscriptions for the year totalled £78 12s. 10d., £20 of which went to "Our Day." Makuri. ■with Ngaturi had a. very successful patriotic shop once, during the year. Subscriptions have been received from: Mrs. Whitta, £1 Is.; Mrs. Morrison, 165.; Mrs. Dransfiekl, 12s. 6t1.; Mrs. Olson, 10s.; Mrs. Heckler, 10s.; Mrs. Raukiii, 7s. 6d.; Mrs. Clrurchouse, ss. List of garments': Mrs.. Morrison, 41 face cloths, 2 pairs socks, 3 pairs mittens, 2 shirts; Mrs. Rankin, 4 pairs mittons; Mrs. Watt, 1 pair socks; Mrs. and Miss Champion, 2 pairs socks, 4 shirts, 16 face cloths, 1 scarf, 2 pairs pyjamas; Mrs. "Whitta, 2 pairs socks; Mrs. Raison, 2 pairs pyjamas; Mrs. Tylee, 4 shirts; Mrs. Churchouse, -2 pyjamas, 3 face cloths; Mrs. Dransfield, 1 -scarf, 2 shirts; Miss Powlton, 4 shirts, 12 face cloths, 1 pair socks.
