By Telegraph—Press Assooiatloß. Wanganui, March 8. John Hood was drowned yesterday as a result of a boating accident off [ Kai Iwi Beach, near WanganuL Hood ; and several Natives went out' fishing. I and on tho return tho boat capsized in the surf. The Natives scrambled ] .ashore, but Hood was drowned. The j body was recovered shortly after- i wards. Deceased was born in, Wanga- j nui sixty years ago,, and was a very.j well-known wheelwright. ! j
