Dawson, C Coy., 36tb, to be lance'-corporal; Ptes. A. D. W r ilson, S J. Sylvester, E. R. Chapman, H. F. Stewart, G. R. Watts, W. B. Pannell, 38th Specls., to be lance-corporal;*. An old favourite in vaudeville is Mr. J C. Bain, who is to appear at His Majesty's Theatre on Monday next. Mr. Bain is a clever character comedian, with features that are easily adjustable to every mood and expression, and some twenty years ago was a wonderful favourite with the Wellington public. On this occasion he returns with his talented daughter, Miss Verna Dain, who, to judge from Press notices, is a highly-gifted dancer, aspiring to terpsichorean attitudes far removed from the ordinary dancer of vaudeville. Miss Bain will also appear in the next change of programme lit, His Majesty's. ' "TOMMY HAS LOST HIS COLD."
