Norns presiding One member of the Order wns admitted to the first degree -of the Chapter, and five Past Arches who had qualified for the distinction were admitted to the higher degree. P.D.P. Bro. J. Johnstone's scheme for superannuation was further discussed, and correspondence with the Registrar of Friendly Societies was read in connection therewith, and it was decided to leave the matter in the . hands of the committee to bring the 1 lichemo before the respective lodges for consideration and discussion among the members. R.A.B. Bro. P. J. ! Mullins outlined . his scheme for the promotion of juvenile, lodges, but had not yet been able to get sufficient data to enable him to lay a concrete proposal before the ■ Chapter, which would, however, be done at the next meeting PD.P. Bro. T. G. Sarjcant, P.li.S. Bro. J„ Crombie, and Bros. Press warmly supported the proposal, and a committee, composed of Bros. Mullins, Moljin&on, Press, and Sarjeant, was appointed to collect the i necessary data, and to draft a scheme , to lay before a future meeting of the Chapter. The Grand Vice-President of the Order, Bro. R. P. Flanagan, was i" attendance, and received a very cordial welcome. He eulogised the good work being done by the Chapter in the interests of the Order generally, which would be even more noticeable as soon 1 as the new scheme for the creation of district boards takes effect. . The : schemes launched by the Royal _ Arch Chapter will be sent on to the district boaid for further consideration, and thus the timo of the Grand Lodge will lie saved immensely by the initiatory steps taken by the Chapter, which would perhaps not always got credit for the pioneering work clone, but the members.of the Chapter in their work would be receiving a valuable education to qualify them for good work on the District .Board and Grand Lodge, when they succeeded' to representation in those bodies. ■He complimented the chapter on its raking up two such important schemes as superannuation and juvenile lodges.
