A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the Club for Wives and Families of Soldiers and Sailors on Friday. Mrs. Massey visited the club and addressed those present, and also met many individually. The afternoon tea was in charge of the Berhampore ladies, under Mrs. Watt. An informal musical programme, arranged by Mrs. Bethune and Mrs. Marston, wae much enjoyed. Women's National Eeserve both the Minister of Internal Affairs (tho Hon. G. W. llussoll) and Dr. Platts-Mills spoke of the serious problem which had to bo faced by women and girls who were doing war work (those who had como to the oity to , fill positions ■ which had opened out to them through circumstances brought about by the war), because of the impossibility of finding accommodation.
