Y.M.C.A. FOOTBALL CLUB
Tho annual meeting of tlio Y.M.C.A. Football Club was held on Thursday ; evening in tiic rooms, Willis Street. j Mr. W. Eglin (vice-president, I Y.M.0.A.) occupied tho ohair. There ! was an enthusiastic attendance of \ members. The annual report aud bal- ! anco-sheufc wero adopted. The followi iiig officers were'elected: —President, I Hon. J. G. AY. Aitken, M.L.C.; vicej presidents, Messrs. 0. M. Luke, A. j Varney, H. W. Kersley, T. Forsyth, j and W. H. George; club captain, Mr. ; A. Galloway; hon. secretary, ih. 0. Tiott; hon. treasurer,-Mr. \V. \j. Wil- : son; committee, officers of the club and Messrs. L. Smith and H. -Ficbis; j delegates to W.F.A., Messrs. .■ A. E. j Smith and ¥. Thomas, i It was unanimously decided to amal- ! gamate with tho -Boys' Department i Football Cl,ub. A- special vote "of thanks wa-s passed to Mr. W. L. Wilson for t!io services rendered- during [many years as,hon. treasurer. Sistythreo members of the club have left New Zealand to serve King and country. Of these ten have been killed in action and fifteen wounded.
