GREAT SUCCESS OF WAR BONDS

STATEMENT BY MR. BONAR LAW

(Rec. February 27, 8.5 p.m.)

London, February 26. Mr. Bonar Law, in a, speech at tho Aldwych Club, said tho national war bonds were an assured success. Already there had been raised more than the total new money secured by the 4$ per cent, war loan. We had a rugged path to climb, but there was no ground for discouragement or faintheartedness. Germany could not break our lines. All Germany's peace talk was Jroth. If it wero possible at an election in Britain at tho present time to put the plain issue of continuing tho war until we had secured tho results for which we entered the war, tho result would astonish us and our enemies.—Renter.
