SCANDALOUS TREATMENT BY THE GERMANS.

''t'Hommo Libre"-' states that a thousand hostages have been selected from piominent French people, including refined girls,, wlio have been taken from their homes and sent to the Holzminden Cainp, as a reprisal for the Allies' air raids. . They are exposed to scandalous treatment. When thirty of the girls refused to make sacks for the' enemy the.y wero'locked up without fbiid and light for over a month. Their mattresses and bedclothes, and even their woollen underclothing, were taken away, and they- were only released when a Spanish inspector arrived on a visit to tho camp.
