ANOTHER OBJECT-LESSON

» The conduct of a section of tho big gathering at the Town Hall last evening should serve as a useful reminder to the electors of 'Wellington North of what is in store for tliem and for New Zealand should .the extremists of what is known as the "Red Feds" organisation and kindred spirits gain* a victory at the poll to-morrow. They have rallied from far and near to assist the candidature of Mr. Holland and to injure and cripple the National Government. The, disturbers of the early part of the meeting last evening represent an element in the community which is a menace to the orderly conduct of the affairs of the Dominion, and one which, if encouraged, is liable to become an aggressive and active force for the promotion of strife and turmoil. Electors when they come to cast their votes to-morrow should not miss the warning so opportunely given them. Sin' Joseph Ward, in tho course of his admirable speech last evening, gave good reasons and made a stirring call to the loyalty of his followers and supporters to vote for M-it. Luke. Mr. Massey, as the'head-of'-the ; Reform Party and of the National Government,' has made an Equally earnest appeal to all friends of his party and of the National Government to vote for Mr. Luke. It has become plain that unless Liberals and Reformers alike sink - their differences and unite loyally in support of Mr. Luke there is a danger of the forces behind Mr. Holland winning the scat through vote-splitting in the ranks of the Government. Every loyal elector should realise this hefore it is too late.
